How ThriftRunner works for buyers
Browse stores, discover items, message sellers, and use one cart per storefront.
ThriftRunner helps you discover independent thrift storefronts, store listings, SaleTrail events, and nearby stores. Browsing public pages does not require an account.
When an item interests you, use TRADES to ask that seller questions. Adding an item creates or reuses a cart for that specific storefront. A cart is not a reservation: another shopper can still buy the item until checkout begins. At checkout, ThriftRunner checks price and availability again and briefly reserves available items.
Each storefront checks out separately because each seller receives payment directly in their own connected PayPal account. ThriftRunner does not hold buyer money and is not the merchant of record. Pickup, shipping, returns, and item-specific promises are between buyer and seller unless a separate written platform policy says otherwise.
