Safety and buyer–seller payments

ThriftRunner never holds the buyer’s payment and does not guarantee a sale.

Inspect listings, ask questions, keep records, and stop if a request feels unsafe. Never send passwords, verification codes, or full payment credentials through TRADES or support tickets. For an immediate physical threat, contact local emergency services.

ThriftRunner is not a party to buyer–seller payment. With PayPal Multiparty, PayPal routes a storefront checkout directly to that seller's connected PayPal account. ThriftRunner does not pool, hold, escrow, release, or guarantee those funds and is not the merchant of record. PayPal's own eligibility, risk, dispute, and account rules apply.

Report platform abuse or suspicious behavior through an Administration Hub ticket. Item fulfillment, returns, and seller promises remain between buyer and seller unless a specific written ThriftRunner policy says otherwise.
